Project management assistance for the reconversion of the Versailles post office into a hotel

ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
 

Poste Immo was examining the possibility of reconverting the Versailles post office into a hotel, and wished to mandate an experienced firm to:

  • Confirm the need for a hotel in the area, eventual commercial positioning and product offer (capacity / services)
  • Define the specifications for hotel investors / operators in order to launch a tender process and prepare the relevant documents
  • Assist in the search for a hotel operator during the tender process and advise on the operator selection with regard to profitability, image, risk criteria, etc.

Edgar Clerc museum of amerindian archaeology

Since its opening in 1984, the Edgar Clerc museum of Amerindian archaeology (“Musée de France”) has been reorganised on several occasions. From 2006 onwards, the objective has been to produce a scientific and cultural project (“PSC”) and to implement works on the collections. Today, the pre-operational and operational programming studies need to be conducted. Given this, the Conseil Général de la Guadeloupe has launched a consultation process for the architectural, technical and financial programming of the Edgar Clerc museum.

Definition of a leading cultural and tourism project for the Néron sugar refinery heritage site

Located at the heart of a vast natural area, the Néron site is a former sugar refinery and distillery that today shows the vestiges of its industrial past.

The Conseil Général de la Guadeloupe mandated our teams to conduct an overall assignment to enhance the site, in keeping with the development of a new form of “authentic” and “ecological” tourism.

Technical and Financial advisory services for selecting the operating structure and for granting a concession for the management of the Lyon Congress Center

ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
 
 

Since the 1st January 2007, the Grand Lyon urban community has delegated the operation of the city’s congress centre (Cité Centre de Congrès de Lyon) to GL Events, under a lease agreement. This agreement will expire at the beginning of 2017. Consequently, Grand Lyon wished to compile a report on the results of the current concession. In accordance with the strategy to attract more international congresses, the urban community decided to examine different types of operating structures that could be implemented in the future public service concession.

Strategic, Financial and legal advisory for the operation of Annecy future conference center and exhibition park

ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
 
 

The agglomeration of Annecy wishes to increase local MICE venue supply by opening a new conference centre and exhibitions park (CESC). The project will complement and add to the destination’s existing structures through the creation of strong synergies. The project will come into its own by fulfilling the city’s ambitions and generating direct economic benefits.

Programming for a monument in Saint-Benoit sur Loire

Today, the lapidarium of the Abbaye de Fleury, a renowned monument dating from the end of the XI century to the beginning of the XII century, is conserved at the abbey and closed to the public.

Project management objectives:

  • Study the opportunity and feasibility of a museum-type space around the collection by promoting the history of the abbey and the local area.
  • Consider whether a second lapidarium should be integrated, with stones from the Germigny des Prés oratory, as well as a collection of archives relating to Max Jacob.

Visitor and observation centre : the LITORALIS project

The LITORALIS project is the result of communal reflection by the Pays de la Loire Region and the territories of La Tranche sur Mer, La Faute sur Mer et l’Aguillon sur Mer, destroyed by the Xynthia storm in 2010. Today, the project’s positioning is centred around 3 axes:

  • A visitor and discovery centre open to the public, providing entertaining scenography and an educational trail.
  • An educational venue to raise awareness.
  • A centre for research and knowledge diffusion, with a regional observatory that seeks to mutualise, use and broadcast knowledge on the coast’s characteristics.

The Conseil Régional sought assistance in drafting the detailed technical programme up until the contractor’s design study phase.

66 tourism-related projects – Region of Martinique

ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
 
 

Tourism is a strategic priority for the region of Martinique, who has adopted an ambitious development strategy. At the end of 2010, the “Citizens’ initiatives for the development of tourism in Martinique” was launched. The project’s aim was to boost leisure activities and revitalise Martinique’s best sites.

The 66 winners each received a prize, part of which was the possibility to request assistance and advice from a consulting company to get the project off the ground.

Project to reconvert the former law courts of Nantes (44) into an upscale hotel

ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
 
 

The ownership of the former law courts of Nantes changed hands in March 2004. Full of character (but non-classified), the building had stood empty since 2000. It was beginning to deteriorate, and in addition to being costly for the local authorities, security problems started arising due to the presence of a neighbouring square. In 2005, the Conseil Général de Loire-Atlantique – in concertation with the city of Nantes – began reflecting on what to do with the building at minimum cost for the local authorities.
