ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
Within the framework of the definition of the new Departmental Tourism Development Strategy, the Conseil Général du Var and the CCI du Var jointly decided to conduct a new strategic audit of the local hotel sector. The aim of this study was to assess hotel supply and demand in the department, taking into consideration market evolutions, in order to produce a decision-making tool to be used in the development of projects on the various identified territories.

- Division of the territory into seven tourism clusters
- Survey of local hoteliers with the dual objective of allowing professionals to appropriate the study, and collecting strategic information
- Interviews with a dozen hoteliers per territory
- Strategic audit per territory, covering the main factors that influence hotel trading, the characteristics of supply and hotel demand, a brief analysis of other types of tourist lodging and the identification of key challenges for hoteliers
